Early Music Ensemble director, Lisa Chaufty, and Dr. Pamela Palmer Jones, seminar professor, compiled the University of Utah’s submission to create a diverse sampling of student early music performances from the Early Music Ensemble (MUSC 4437/6437) for the 2020-21 academic year, and the fall 2020 semester of the Performance Practice Seminar (MUSC 7210). You can view the mini-performance on the festival site, or below.

The Early Music Ensemble will also present their spring 2021 semester virtual performance on May 13, 2021 in the School of Music's Virtual Venue.
Video Selections include a sampling of works from the Early Music Ensemble video concert programs for the academic year; and final student projects in the Doctoral Performance Practice Seminar for the fall semester. Students in the seminar studied pieces of music that appealed to their particular research/performance interests. So, our offerings in this mini-program are diverse. Perhaps the best description of our theme is: We All Made Music During a Pandemic!
