U trumpeters advance to the National Trumpet Competition

After submitting a digital performance that would go on to be judged by other collegiate trumpet teachers and professors, the University of Utah Trumpet Ensemble has advanced to compete Live Rounds at the National Trumpet Competition in Boulder, CO in March 2023.

They will be competing against some of the nation’s other best music programs including: Juilliard, University of North Texas, The Eastman School of Music, Indiana University, and others. And in additional good news, student Briana Gillet (DMA ’24) advanced to the Graduate Solo Division!
