Biography

I am a violinist and music educator with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education with an emphasis in performance from the University of Utah, where violin was my primary instrument. I have been teaching music for well over 10 years, working with students of various ages and ability levels through both private instruction and classroom settings.

My performance experience includes the Utah Philharmonic, Campus Symphony, chamber ensembles, weddings, choir accompaniment, and other community and professional performance opportunities. I have extensive experience teaching private violin lessons and music theory, working with school orchestras, selecting and preparing repertoire, and preparing students for performances and evaluations.

In addition to teaching and performing, I have served as an adjudicator for student music festivals and concerto competitions throughout the Salt Lake Valley. These experiences have allowed me to work with young musicians in both instructional and evaluative settings.

As both a performer and educator, I focus on developing strong technique, musicianship, musical expression, and confidence in my students while helping them build a lasting appreciation for music.
