Biography

Caitlyn Curry began studying the viola at the age of six, under the impression that it was a cello, but grew to love the viola for its rich tone and unique qualities! Today, Caitlyn holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from Utah State University where she studied with Bradley Ottesen and is finishing a Master's degree in Performance and Pedagogy under the guidance of Julie Edwards at the University of Utah.

As a chamber musician, she studied extensively under the Fry Street Quartet and quickly grew to love this genre of music. She was a winner of the 2021 ASTA chamber music competition as a member of the Synchrony Quartet and a runner up for the 2024 MTNA chamber competition with the Mount Olympus String Quartet. As a coach for a chamber music program in Logan Utah, she enjoyed sharing her love for chamber music by coaching young quartets and developing projects to bring chamber musicians together within the community.
