Ms. Raty has recently returned to Utah from a year in New York City, where she studied with Dr. Inesa Sinkevych at the Manhattan School of Music, receiving her Professional Studies Certificate in Piano Performance. She holds a Master of Music degree from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University - Bloomington, and a Bachelor of Music degree from Brigham Young University in Provo. Ms. Raty has received many awards and top prizes, and has performed in venues across the country in a solo and collaborative capacity. She has been teaching students of all ages for six years.

My teaching philosophy is grounded in individuality-- I believe that everyone who chooses to study music has something unique to say. It is my role as an educator to facilitate and motivate each pupil in finding his or her artistic voice, developing a formidable technique, understanding the theory behind a musical composition, and striving for proficiency on the instrument and in performance. So many have said that genius is diligence, and I am of the opinion that anyone and everyone, with the support of a passionate teacher, can be a great pianist if they are dedicated to practicing.
