As a performer, Geoff is grateful for the opportunities he has had to play with such Jazz luminaries as Steve Lacy, Mulgrew Miller, Bob Brookmeyer, Brian Bromberg, and Gregory Hutchinson, among many others.

Geoffrey currently performs with groups such as the Daniel Day Trio, Greg Floor Quartet, Slajo, The John Flanders Trio, The Chisolm Bros., Utah Symphony, and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Also a composer, Professor Miller has written pieces for Big Band, Woodwind Trio, and Guitar Ensemble.  He has also composed over fifty Jazz pieces. 

As an undergraduate at the University of Utah, Geoffrey Miller won the prestigious Lionel Hampton award for Outstanding Jazz Soloist.  He earned his Bachelor of Music degree ('96) from the University of Utah.  After his graduation from the University, he was honored to join the faculty.  In 2001, Geoffrey moved to Boston to study at the New England Conservatory of Music, where he earned his Masters in Jazz Studies.  At the Conservatory, Geoff was mentored by great Jazz artists such as Steve Lacy, Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone, Bob Brookmeyer, Cecil McBee, and Alan Chase.
