For 40 years, the thing that's kept me going is that I just love to sing! Violin was my first instrument but it soon gave way to the fully expressive feeling that I got from singing solos in church. Then my interest turned to Broadway musicals, opera, recital music and oratorio.
After completing degrees at BYU and the University of Idaho I went to the Hartt School of Music where I earned a doctorate in voice performance. Singing has proved to be an exciting life, giving me opportunities to perform all over the United States and Europe.
Since 1981 I have enjoyed living here in the Salt Lake valley, performing with the valley’s outstanding music ensembles like The Utah Symphony and Opera and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, even Ballet West, and sharing my love of singing with talented students at the University of Utah.
I am presently serving as Associate Director of the School of Music.
