Sundays at Seven, pianoFREE, one-hour concerts by our faculty virtuosi on Sunday evenings, when parking is readily available. Showcase concerts feature several faculty performing groups, and Spotlight concerts highlight a faculty soloist or small ensemble. Concerts take place in Libby Gardner Concert Hall at 7:00 PM, unless otherwise noted.

SUNDAYS@7 FACULTY SPOTLIGHT: AN EVENING OF BAROQUE MUSIC

September 11, 2011

Sundays@7, the School of Music’s free faculty recital series, will feature acclaimed faculty musicians in a spotlight concert on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m. in Libby Gardner Concert Hall. The impressive all-Baroque program will feature Cheryl Hart, soprano; Lisa Chaufty, recorder; Pamela Palmer Jones, harpsichord; Frances von Seggern Bach, viola da gamba and Jayne Drummond, English horn. The ensemble will perform music by Marais, Vivaldi, Handel and Bach. Sundays@7 is the School of Music’s free, one-hour faculty recital series. Sunday parking is available on and around Presidents Circle. Admission is free.

SUNDAYS@7 FACULTY SPOTLIGHT: LENORA BROWN AND FAMILY

Sundays@7, the School of Music’s free faculty recital series, will feature faculty pianist Lenora Brown in a spotlight concert with her talented family on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m. in Libby Gardner Concert Hall. The impressive family trio, made up Brown and her daughter, pianist Heather Thompson, and her son, cellist Evan Neal, will perform works by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and more. This concert will also be performed for the Temple Square Concert Series on Friday, Sept. 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall, and at Cabrillo College in California, where Professor Brown will also coach students in a master class and give a lecture-demonstration on transcriptions of Franz Liszt. Sundays@7 is the School of Music’s free, one-hour faculty recital series. Sunday parking is available on and around Presidents Circle. Admission is free.

Sundays@7, the School of Music’s free faculty recital series, will feature a faculty duo of cellist Elliott Cheney and pianist Larry Gee in a spotlight concert on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. in Libby Gardner Concert Hall. The impressive duo will perform works by Max Bruch, Beethoven, Boccherini and Chopin. Sundays@7 is the School of Music’s free, one-hour faculty recital series. Sunday parking is available on and around Presidents Circle. Admission is free.

Sundays@7, the School of Music’s free faculty recital series, will feature a faculty showcase concert on Sunday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. in Libby Gardner Concert Hall. The talented faculty performers will include pianist Vedrana Subotic, cellist Pegsoon Whang and pianist Heather Conner. The program will feature Beethoven’s Sonata No. 2 in G minor for piano and cello, Liszt’s Sonata in B minor, S. 178 and selections from Brahms’ “Hungarian Dances” for Piano Four-Hands. Sunday parking is available on and around Presidents Circle. Admission is free.
