Established in loving memory of Mikhail Boguslavsky, the Boguslavsky Scholarship Fund provides School of Music bowed string students with financial assistance to pursue advanced study in chamber music. At least one student a year will receive an award to cover expenses associated with attending a workshop, summer program, master class, or other extramural activities including travel costs, registration fees, and other related expenses.
Eligible students include junior, senior and graduate orchestral bowed string students in good standing who are currently also participating in chamber music (violin, viola, cello, and bass).
Special consideration will be given to members of the school’s honors string quartets, in recognition of Mikhail Boguslavsky’s founding role in their establishment and his leadership in developing the school’s chamber music program over his 25-year tenure.
